Get Home Safely is an Innovation Activity supported by the EIT Digital. One of the services resulting from the Innovation Activity are personalised 5G connected IoT light devices, capable of collecting valuable metrics related to pedestrian movement and its immediate environment.
The devices are outdoor lighting and beacon systems which can be used to define way guiding paths for specific events, locations and small perimeter areas. For example, navigating a section of a construction site, traversing a path during an event etc. These devices are equipped with LTE/5G and constantly communicate with a cloud based backend to take actions in helping pedestrians reach their destinations. Get Home Safely products and services use the latest networking and sensor technology to understand crowd movements and manage pedestrians’ flow in high traffic (conflict) situations.
Get Home Safely services enable events, construction companies and cities to deal with temporary disruptions in navigation by sensors equipped lights – facilitating the Digital City of tomorrow.
